A mixture of audio-visual presentation and original brewing apparatus explains the story of brewing, starting with the discovery of alcohol and the methods by which the earliest brewers learnt to make beer, right through to the advanced scientific methods used to make the enormous variety of beers available today. The history of Bass as a company and its place in the story of Burton upon Trent is also represented on three floors of the old Joiners’ Shop, featuring many beautiful models, interactive displays and reconstructions.
