Perfect birthday present! My daughter bought me this for my birthday and I am having a blast brewing my own beer! I have actually used this kit 3 times now in the past month or so – as soon as one batch is bottled I start brewing another! Just tried the beer from the first batch and it turned out great – it was the pilsner that was included with the kit. I have also used the Mr. Beer refills as they do not seem to be as pricey as the brewdemon refills. Very easy to use the kit – sanitize everything with the included…

Good unit for smaller batches I like it, so far. I am just new to brewing my own and am looking to brew “hard” soft drinks (root beer, ginger beer, etc) I like the size to allow me to commit to smaller batches and the cone shape to catch the sediment (Traub?) It seems to be doing okay and I’ve done my third batch. I haven’t found a recipe for the beer I like, yet. But it is not my intent to keep brewing beer. I want to understand the process before venturing into the hard soda.
