  1. BEER - Its what you make it. Yeah, this is a little thin; yeah, it is low alcohol; yeah, it lacks a little depth and character; BUT, that is what YOU, the brewer, are in charge of.This is a great kit, it makes a decent, respectable porter; however, it is an EXCELLENT kit for anyone with the intelligence to add their own flair to it.I have made four batches of this using varying ingredients; triple hopping, with three different hop varieties; adding fruit at primary and secondary; and, had four exceptional brews...

  2. Solid Porter with no frills This is great deal for a simple no nonsense porter. This is a relatively forgiving style and easier drinking recipie than some of brewers best stouts. 3. First time brewer This was my first ever batch of homebrew and I am very pleased with how it turned out. Alcohol content for me was around 8% and the flavor is good. It was a big hit among my friends (one of whom wanted to buy 3 cases from me lol) and I enjoyed it, although now that summer is coming I'll probably try a lighter beer next. This batch size is perfect for a 1/6 barrel keg for those of you interested in that route as well. I think a kegerator is in my future....
