Critical information is excluded such as good directions on setting up yeast starter Critical information is excluded such as good directions on setting up yeast starter. The book covers a paragraph maybe on this do or die element. No indications on how long to ferment or sit your bottles. That I find nuts. I have ot test every week to see if the product has aged enough. There is too much said on taste and not enough on crafting the products. Good recipes though.

Excellent Reference Dr Colby has more facts at his fingers than any home brewer I know, and I really enjoy his writing. His experience is evident, and as a result his book will prove a valuable reference for the home brewer. The recipes are a good starting point when experimenting with different styles, and I know I’ll have a lot of fun brewing them.
